To create a new bus system, select the “Additional bus system” option in the “Additional REG devices and bus systems” main node.

A “bus system” always represents a closed bus segment with its devices (e.g. ekey bus, RS485, DMX bus).
A bus system can be configured with the following settings:

An important setting is the bus type with the current selection between a 2, 3 or 4-wire bus system. The interface provides information on which type should ideally be selected for which system.
The bus system can be supplemented with an item designation – this enables easier identification in the planning tree and the drawing.
The identifiers of the conductors can also be assigned. In the case of page breaks, the identifiers are also rendered in the finished plan at the page references.
Additional elements can be created below a bus system in the planning, which (depending on their configuration) are connected to the bus system/bus segment.
- Other REG devices: are always connected to the bus system. For 4-wire bus systems, a selection option is given in the DRA devices as to whether they are connected to the bus system with 2 or 4 wires.

- Terminal blocks: the configured wires of the bus system appear in terminal blocks in the terminal type selection. Each wire can therefore be individually connected to the wires of the bus system.
