Interaction modes

Selection mode:

Objects can be selected and moved in selection mode. Several objects can be selected by stretching a frame around them.

Symbols of the wiring diagram and the ends of lines have connection points. These are displayed when you move the mouse over them. A new line can also be started from these points in selection mode.

Line drawing mode:

Mode 1: Multi-click

Left-click on the drawing area to start drawing
A preview of the resulting line is displayed while you are placing it (consisting of one or more connected segments)
Each additional left-click adds the current segment to the line and sets the last point as the new starting point for the next segment
Right-click or ESC will exit drawing mode without accepting the current preview segment

Mode 2: Click & drag

Hold down the left mouse button to draw a line
A preview of the line being created will be displayed at the same time
When you release the mouse button, the drawn line is created and automatically switches to multi-click mode (mode 1), with the last point serving as the starting point for the next segment

General information

A line consists of one or more connected segments, after segments have been redrawn, moved or deleted, it will recalculate which segments are connected to each other and belong to a line
A line will always be aligned horizontally / vertically in the grid. The initial direction of the mouse when you start a line will determine whether a new line is first drawn vertically and then horizontally (or vice versa).
