After setting up the Loxone bus topology, you can add the actual Loxone devices such as the miniserver (compact), relay extension and others to the tree.
Most Loxone devices use the Loxone link bus to communicate with each other. So next, pick the “Loxone link bus” node and right-click to get the “Add below” menu:

Each extension comes with a basic configuration for its channels and division units. Additionally, you can enter a general description (e.g. for categorisation, such as “light”, “blinds”) and, if desired, the serial number.
Both will appear later in the wiring diagram.

Once you have added a 24V supply, it will also be linked in the interface.
One of the main purposes of Loxone devices is to enable us to switch loads or send signals to our miniserver via binary inputs.
To assign switching channels, go to the desired terminal block of the outlet cable and select an actuator channel for each desired conductor using the (+) symbol:

The graphical diagram is then added to the corresponding switching channel in the terminal block …

… and also added to the assignment and cross-references in the Loxone device symbol.

Tip: You can also assign a channel to multiple terminal blocks if you are switching several loads simultaneously with one channel. Our tool then automatically creates cross-connections in the terminal blocks.
