In the following chapters, we would like to show you how to configure Loxone installations on wiring-diagram.com.
We recommend watching our tutorial videos to get started. Even though these show a KNX installation, the basic principles (creating protection devices and terminal blocks, then creating actuators and assigning actuator channels) are very similar for the majority of a Loxone installation.
When you create a new project, you can load a sample installation to get a quick overview of the possibilities:

You can also download the example plan as a PDF here:
In the example configuration, we have attempted to include all the essential elements of a Loxone installation:
- Classic switching channels via miniserver and relay extension
- Window contacts with DI extension
- Loxone power supply with 7 outlets (shown via power supply unit + microfuses)
- Several tree buses with corresponding outgoing tree cables
- RGBW dimmer extensions
- LED strips via separate power supplies and separate RGBW controllers for cases where the RGBW dimmer extensions are not powerful enough
- The DALI bus is routed via 230V terminals (the DALI bus can be switched off via auxiliary contacts on the protection device).
- A 24V-based bell via a coupling relay
- Audio extension and treeturbo bus
In a real configuration, you might not mix things around quite as much, but hey: it’s just an example project 🙂
In the following chapters, we will show you step by step how to create the most important elements yourself.
